Paarl is fully registered with RICS.  Jim Roberts is a RICS Registered Valuer.  Therefore both the firm and the individual are fully authorised to undertake RICS “Red Book” valuations for loan security purposes.  Associated with this area of activity Paarl undertake valuation work for the financial services industry in relation to SIPPs and other forms of personal investment.

Insolvency & Business Recovery / Restructuring

Paarl has an extensive client base in this market sector which requires speedy and accurate advice having regard to the specific circumstances that surround each and every case.  Paarl understands this sector so as a consequence we give the right advice straight away without the need to understand the nuances of how Insolvency & Business Recovery/Restructuring might impact on the general handling of property.

Paarl are retained property consultants to MGR Appraisals Limited, who offer a full service to the Insolvency & Business Recovery/Restructuring in the areas of business assets, stock, goodwill, intangibles.  MGR Appraisals also offer a bespoke online auction facility. Law Of Property Receiverships

Jim Roberts can act as a Law of Property Act (LPA) Receiver as and/if and when a registered charge holder wishes to appoint.  This area of activity requires a completely different knowledge base to the Insolvency & Business Recovery/Restructuring sectors.  It is commonly misunderstood that an LPA Receivership is a form of insolvency.

Corporate Client

Paarl provides a wide range of general practice services to the Corporate Client sector. Our definition of Corporate Client is any organisation that has a property base from which it undertakes its principal trade.  Paarl currently act for Corporate Clients with just a few sites to one with over 350 sites spread across the whole of the UK, including the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands. This type of client can generate any number of different activities from rent reviews, lease renewals, planning, acquisitions and disposals.

We recognise that some of these areas can become very specific which is where our network of sub-consultants is of tremendous value to us as we can bring the specialist skills in as and when necessary without having to put our client base to any more trouble thereby allowing them to carry on their principal business activity whilst their property issues are diligently addressed.

Private Client

Similar to the Corporate Client, a Private Client is an individual who owns property whether for their own occupation or as an investment.  Such a property could be in the commercial or residential sectors.  Work in this sector can again include rent reviews and lease renewals but can include schedules of condition and other condition reports, rating appeals, planning and development matters and valuation work whether for accounting, matrimonial or other personal purposes.  Discretion is paramount when undertaking such work.
